Mitchell Street

Episode 305: Shot in Summer 2013, first aired in February 2014

We have never, ever, experienced vibrancy and diversity like we did on Mitchell Street. We met business owners from Pakistan, India, Mexico and Australia, a priest from France, a transplant from Chicago, not to mention lifelong Milwaukeeans who have chosen to call Mitchell Street their home for generations. Naan bread was a favorite, the Quinceanera gowns were amazing, and the Mexican boots were almost unbelievable! And the $99 suit and long raccoon coat have certainly found a home in John McGivern’s closet by now! The wig, however, we made him promise to never put on again! This is one of those communities that everyone thinks they know, but you really need to become reacquainted with Historic Mitchell Street. It has so much to offer!
